Meeting 6:
For some of our members this was the day before Easter, so instead of traditional art on paper or canvas, they painted on eggs. Others made digital art, which was new for our club, or drawings on paper. We didn't impose any requirements or 'theme' to follow for this session, it was just free drawing, to create a work of art and feel accomplished that you made something that day.
Olivia: It was a new experience trying to actually paint eggs for Easter, normally we would dye them using onion skins. But this was new and interesting, the texture of the eggshell and the paint, as well as the curved surface made it a bit more difficult to work with, but it was worth it. The other members were trying to draw dogs from references, and they came out really well. Another person was actually using their iPad to write/draw a comic based off the popular "Animal Crossing" game for the Nintendo. It came out really well, they had some struggle with actually coloring it in, specifically finding the correct colors to use for the piece to look good, but they made it work.
